Are you looking for something different in your glass art? Verre Églomisé™ is mysterious, exciting and bold. It is new territory in glass.

Peggy Pettigrew Stewart will teach the beautiful technique of working glass Intaglio (reverse). The process includes sandblasting, painting, and inlay of exotic metals (copper, silver, gold).  The result is a stunning and unique glass art piece that can be used to create large bowls and vessels, tables, furniture, sinks, as well as jewelry, small art décor, and sculptures.  This process can be used on most any type and shape of glass, whether it be fused, cast or flat.

Come join world renowned Master Glass Artist & teacher Peggy Pettigrew Stewart. Her classes are enjoyed by all which keeps her workshops filled. Learn some of her newest techniques used on her beautiful and unique glass art creations. Peggy is best known for her extreme kiln formed glass, as well as sandblasting and coldworking.  Verre Églomisé ™ technique is used in much of her work.  Peggy’s pieces have graced the covers of major magazines and catalogues. Her work is seen at contemporary art galleries and museums around the globe. Don’t miss this opportunity to spend some time creating with her.

Patterned Edge Notching: You will learn how to use a diamond ring-saw to notch the edge of a pre-fused base that will transform into remarkable and surprising patterns after fuse firing.

Petrofrit Components: This nifty technique will enable you to make a variety of wafer-thin, stand alone life-form components such as flowers, sea life, animals, celestial bodies, cameo profiles or anything you desire. Learn how to use these components as building blocks for some engaging creations.

Draped Bowl with a Stemmed-foot: Randy will reveal his innovative, mold forming technique that mimics what he learned in the glass blowing studio. This technique moves glass fusing to the center pedestal in the art gallery.

Drop-Thru Vase Forming: Randy will demonstrate his Drop-Thru Mold process that aligns the glass-drop to the center of a wine glass style foot.  You've never seen anything like this come out of a fusing kiln.

Spherical Bowls and Flat Platters with Cookie-style Feet: Randy will show you how to use the two-sided BinaSphere Mold that he developed which enables fusers to create a 12" Spherical Bowl or a 12" Flat Serving Platter with a cast glass foot fused to the bottom. Prepare to have your socks (and maybe your shoes) knocked off!

Randy has been in the art glass community for more than 35 years and he has done it all; from stained glass to blown glass and his teaching style holds nothing back. You will be amazed with his depth of knowledge, contagious enthusiasm and sense of humor. This class is full of professional tips, tricks, shortcuts, design philosophy and so much more.  Come prepared to ask any question you have about fusing then get ready for an insightful and all-inclusive answer.
