We started as a hot glass shop in the early '80s creating paperweights and larger sculptural pieces. We moved to laminated optical sculptures in the late '80s that required us to develop diamond laps to achieve a flatter surface for laminations than were possible with slurry grinding at the time. Once we developed these diamond laps we offered them to our other glassblower friends as well, and thus began His Glassworks' diamond tool division.

Over the years we have grown our coldworking offerings as customers have requested items and we now have several thousand products and a small staff with well over 3 decades of coldworking experience. It's our goal to provide you with the same advice and service we would expect ourselves as glass artists.

Let us help, inform, and support your glass working adventure.

We Offer More Than Just Tools

In addition to grinding and polishing tools and equipment, we also offer many other items that are used on your cold glass.

From epoxies like the world renowned HXTAL NYL-1 to 3M's DP-105 glass to metal epoxyto mixing supplies.

We also carry material to frost etch your glass in both a mixture for creating a dipping liquid to a frost etch cream for more precise control. From books to safety equipment and many other items.

Coldworking isn't just about grinding.
