Light & Shadow: the Art of Photographing Glass

Sonoran Glass Art Academy

Guest Instructor: Doug Baldwin

Most glass artists have the ability to create incredible works of art, but do not have the technical expertise photograph their work. In this workshop, you will learn how to photograph glass beads, jewelry, and other glass objects with an experienced commercial photographer/glass artist. Learn how to utilize the correct tools and techniques in Photoshop to create professional photos of your work. Students should plan to bring at least 12 glass pieces and their camera (if applicable). You may also bring a laptop to follow along in Photoshop. If you don't have Photoshop installed, a 30 day free trial version will be available during the class. Students will leave class empowered to create photos as beautiful as the glass art you're photographing! This workshop is limited to 12 students.

Saturday & Sunday, 9am - 4pm (with one hour lunch break)
