Jodhpur, India, master artist, Harish Dewani returns to explore the "Realistic Sandblasting" technique that he learned from Dave Schulte in 2013. Using hand cut vinyl stencils and aluminum oxide powder as his mediums for sandblasting, he creates phenomenally etched panels featuring portraits of people and animals.
Harish will share how this approach can be used to capture lifelike grayscale snapshots of life on mirrored and glass surfaces using airbrushed etching techniques without applying any paint or color. He will also instruct you on how to etch glass surfaces using air pressure and fine sand to produce countless tones and shades from the glass itself. He will finish his lecture by describing how to execute your projects with patience and will share ways that you can show your completed works beautifully and to their best advantage by using proper lighting effects.
