This project allows the student artist to showcase a colorful glass cab by placing it within a silver box bead. The bead has a window which displays the glass and makes it the center of attention.
Project: Students will use PMC clay and syringe to create uniquely designed silver and glass creations.
Techniques:
- Use dry construction essential to creating a domed pendant.
- Present and secure the dichroic glass cabochon inside the pendant.
- Appropriate firing schedule for glass and silver combinations.
Class Supplies Kit: PMC3 clay and PMC3 Syringe, fused glass cabochons, CZ gemstone
Students to bring to class: Optivisor (or similar)
The Class Fee for Devos Studios full day classes at the 2012 Glass Craft & Bead Expo is $185.00.
The Class Supplies Fee for basic class supplies is $85.00 and is paid to instructors.
