Copper Enameling is a process that goes back as far as the Egyptian civilization. During this 2-day Specialty Workshop, students will learn to prepare copper, apply powdered enamel, and learn firing techniques to successfully fire beautiful objects. Each student will create one 5"x7" wall hangings and one 8" bowl. Students will be shown the techniques needed for preparing copper to retain glass powder during firing and have the opportunity to experiment with different sizes and shapes of surface metals. Cindy will demonstrate each step of learning enameling techniques to achieve a variety of visual effects.
