Cheryl Derricotte considers herself a contemporary political artist, offering social commentary as a means to foster curiosity and learning. Her background in art, city planning, and real estate project management came together in a recent project, Freedom’s Threshold, the only glass art public monument commemorating the laudable life and character of Harriet Tubman.
