Spirit Dream 23 x 39 2004 300

Richard La Londe will skillfully share how to use the "Liquid Glass Line" technique he developed to create brightly colored, architectural scale wall murals and vessels during this one hour lecture and slideshow.  Glass Patterns Quarterly and Glass Art magazines are pleased to introduce the Master Glass Artisan Lecture Series™. These one-hour lectures will provide professional PowerPoint demonstrations similar to those seen at glass conferences. They will also include a “live chat” format like the one used in our Glass Expert Webinars™ that allows the artist to answer real questions from actual participants.

Join master artist, Richard La Londe in this one-hour lecture and slideshow exploring the "Liquid Glass Line" technique he developed in 1993. Find out how this technique is used to create brightly colored architectural-scale wall murals and vessels. He will show you how to prepare the mysterious "CMC Goop", mix it with glass powder and extrude it onto glass using a light table. Richard will share three different frit techniques that utilize this style of line work and illustrate a variety of ways to add colored frit to create pictorial and patterned glass art. Don't miss this opportunity to interact online with one of the pioneers in glass fusing!

Richard La Londe has created art with glass since 1974 and fused glass since 1980. He was one of the original glass fusing instructors for Bullseye Glass Company.  He has taught at the Pilchuck Glass School and facilitated many glass fusing workshops throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. His work can be seen in museums around the world including the Seattle Art Museum in Seattle, Washington and the Notojima Glass Art Museum in Japan.  An author of two books, Richard La Londe: Fused Glass Art and Technique and Richard La Londe and Friends-Book 2, Richard teaches workshops and lives on beautiful Whidbey Island in Washington State.
