Award-winning artist, lecturer, and designer Peter McGrain, our first Master Artisan, has worked with stained glass for over 35 years, handling every type of stained glass project imaginable from intimate, experimental panels to large-scale architectural installations. His award-winning panels have been published, displayed, and collected internationally. In 1990, his panel Shrimping the Spring Tide was honored by the World Glass Congress as the finest example of stained glass created anywhere on earth during the decade of the 1980s.

A veteran lecturer and instructor, Peter has helped countless students become better glass artists during his hands-on seminars at select associate studios, where he shares his trademarked Vitri-Fusáille® glass painting techniques. During this GPQ Master Artisan Lecture, he will offer an inspiring presentation, sharing his favorite works and commissions. He will also draw on his extensive expertise to share insights on ways to build a career as an artist, make money, and stay creative. This "Get Pumped Up" session will encourage all artists, not just those working in stained glass, to live out their dreams.

Master Artisan Lectures can be attended by groups or individuals in stores, gatherings, clubs, schools, associations, and even in the privacy of your own home. They provide a great way to build interest in stained glass in your unique part of the world. Don’t miss this fabulous opportunity to learn from the glass industry’s best.
