Mixed media is hot right now and in this class you will learn how to combine etched glass, leather and prefabricated metal bezels into fun wristbands and cuffs. First you'll etch dichroic glass components using etching cream and a variety of resists. Once the glass is prepped for firing overnight in the kiln, it's time to focus on the leather wristbands. You'll learn how to stamp words and ornaments on leather, rubber stamp with inks, how to size the wristbands and how to add snaps. The next day you'll learn how fit the fired glass pieces into ready-made bezels and how to attach the bezels to the leather wristbands. You'll walk out with an armful of art!
